European Youth Olympic Festival | Utrecht 2013

www.utrecht2013.com From 14-19 July 2013 the Olympic Flame will burn in Utrecht, the Netherlands. 2700 young athletes. 49 European countries,
9 sports: Athletics, Basketball, Judo, Handball, Tennis, Swimming, Volleyball, Cycling and Gymnastics.

The EYOF is a biennal high level multi-sport event for talented young athletes from across Europe. The EYOF is organised under the flag of the European Olympic Committee (EOC).
In 2013 Utrecht will host the 23rd edition of the EYOF. The event features the best Olympic traditions, such as the Olympic Village, opening and closing ceremonies and the Olympic Flame.

Thanks to an initiative of Dr. Jacques Rogge, in 1990 the European Olympic Committees launched the "European Youth Olympic Days" (EYOD), now called “European Youth Olympic Festival” (EYOF), that is the only multi-sport event on this continent. This event, which has a summer and a winter edition, is held every other year.

The nine sports of the EYOF 2013 will be:
